Accessibility statement

Our aim

Marking Assist aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What you can do

  • Use it with a keyboard alone; every page has a skip link.
  • Use a screen reader: charts have a table view with the same figures.
  • Zoom to 400% without losing content; nothing scrolls sideways on a phone.
  • Turn off single-letter shortcuts, and reduce motion in your system settings.
  • Dictate notes and feedback with your browser’s own voice input.

Known issues

A student’s script is shown in your browser’s PDF viewer, so how accessible it is depends on the file and the browser. [results of the pre-launch re-test]
